Prof. Dr. Anmin Lei is a Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Northwest A&F University. He received his BS in Veterinary Medicine (1993), MSc in Veterinary Medicine (1999), and PhD in Clinical Veterinary Medicine (2004) from Northwest A&F University. He also serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Animal Biotechnology Branch of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Biotechnology. The courses he teaches mainly include Animal Physiology, Animal Cloning and Transgenic Technology, and Animal Biotechnology Progress. He focuses on the maturation regulation mechanism of mammalian oocytes and uses mature (cattle and sheep) embryo engineering technology to serve the development of China’s animal husbandry industry, increase the breeding speed of excellent individuals, and accelerate the quality improvement of China’s livestock herds.
Prof. Dr. Young Tang is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Northwest A&F University. He received his BS in Clinical Medicine (1993) and MSc in Medical Genetics (1996) from Hunan Medical University (now known as Central South University) and his PhD in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut, USA (2012). He has more than 20 years of experience in molecular biology, animal embryos, and totipotent stem cells, genetic engineering, antiviral research, and drug development. His research interests include embryonic stem cell-mediated breeding of excellent livestock and livestock medical models, as well as the development of new antiviral and anti-inflammation medications for human and livestock mediated by pluripotent stem cells.
