Dr. Bin Song is an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation at Wuhan University. He received his BS from Wuhan Institute of Technology (1995), his MSc in Thermal Power from Wuhan University of Hydraulic and Electric Engineering (2000), and his PhD in High Voltage and Insulation from Wuhan University (2003). The courses he teaches include Microcomputer Principles and Interface Technology, New Energy, and Distributed Power Generation. He won the China Electric Power Science and Technology Progress Award in 2021 and the Jiangsu Science and Technology Award in 2020. His research interests include electrical equipment fault diagnosis and condition maintenance, insulation aging mechanism and life assessment, power information data fusion, data mining, and live working.
