Marine Carrasco graduated with a PhD in mathematics from University of Toulouse (France). She was an assistant professor at the University of Rochester before joining the University of Montreal where she is now a full professor. She has published in the best econometrics journals, including Econometrica and Journal of Econometrics. She is a fellow of Journal of Econometrics and received the Marcel Dagenais prize in 2018. Her research interests focus on two main topics. First, she is interested in tests for parameter stability and Markov switching. Second, she works on inverse problems and regularization methods in econometrics. She developed regularized empirical likelihood methods to deal with the challenges related to the use of many moment conditions.
