She graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a Bachelor's degree of 8/10, was specialized in Pediatrics at the Hospital for Special Diseases of Thessaloniki and at the First Pediatric Clinic of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She completed a PhD thesis, a post doctoral research at the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an English-speaking postgraduate course in Medical research methodology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She received further training in Frankfurt, Germany, at CHOP in Philadelphia, USA, in Pediatric Hematology - Oncology and at the Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit of the "Agia Sophia" Children's Hospital in Athens. In April 1997, she was appointed to the Pediatric Oncology Department of the Ippokratio General Hospital of Thessaloniki, while since January 2019 she has assumed the directorship of the Pediatric Oncology Department. She is a founding member of the team for the National Pediatric Cancer Registry. Representative of Greece in the European Research Group on Osteosarcoma FOSTER. President of the Oncology Committee of the Ippokratio General Hospital of Thessaloniki.
