Dr. Liqing Liao received a B.S. in Industrial Automation and
an M.S. in Automation from Central South University of Technology in 1987 and
1990, respectively. He received a Ph.D. in Control Science and Engineering from
Central South University in 2010. From 2011 to 2012, he was a visiting scholar
at the University of Essex, UK. Currently, he is a professor at the School of
Automation, Central South University. In addition, he is also the director of
Hunan Automation Society and Hunan Electrotechnical Society. His research
interests include microcomputer principles and interface technology, embedded
microcontroller technology, computer control technology, and power system
automation.
