Giannis Saitis holds a geology degree from the University of
Patras and an MSc in Applied Environmental Geology from the Department of
Geology and Geoenvironment of the University of Athens. Today, Giannis Saitis is
a PhD candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and his
thesis title is “Study of beachrock and its impacts on the coastal
environment: comparative observations from selected locations in the East
Mediterranean and South Japan”. His research activities focus mainly on applied
geology (e.g., sampling drilling, coastal surveys), applied geomorphology, and
environmental geology.
