Kuznetsov Petr Nikolaevich received his degree as a research chemist at Novosibirsk State University in 1969, a PhD from the Institute of Catalysis SD RAS in 1978, a Doctor in Chemistry from the Higher Attestation Commission of Russia in 1999, and became a Professor in the Siberian State Technological University in 2011.
He worked as a leading research worker in the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of SD RAS from 1980–2025.
His research topics mainly include reactivity, mechanisms of transformation of organic compounds, heterogeneous catalysis, processing of organic raw materials, thermal dissolution, and carbon materials
