Antonios I. Christou is an Assistant Professor in Child Neurocognitive Development at the University of Thessaly, Greece, Department of Special Education. He is also a Coordinator of the Section of Neuropsychology of the Hellenic Psychological Society (2023–2025) and President of the Scientific Supervisory Council of Experimental Schools in the Thessaly region, Greece (2023–2027). He received his Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Ioannina in 2009, then earned his MA in Inclusion and Special Education Needs and his Ph.D. in Psychology, both from the University of Birmingham in 2011 and 2014, respectively. He was also a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Cyprus. His primary research interest is in understanding the complex neurocognitive mechanisms associated with affective functions and responses through the lifespan, by using cutting-edge techniques such as EEG and eye-tracking, along with biological and behavioral measures.
