Shaorong Wang is currently a Professor, a Supervisor of Master's Candidates, and a Supervisor of Doctoral Candidates at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree (1979–1984) at Zhejiang University, a Master’s Degree (1998–2004) at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and a Doctorate (1987–1990) at North China Electric Power University. His research interests include power system operation and control grid planning and evaluations of active distribution networks; robotic inspection of power systems; applications of AI and big data in power systems; and the ubiquitous power internet of things (upiot).
Dezhi Chen is currently a Professor at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Huazhong University of Science & Technology, starting in 2013. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree (1988–1992) and a Master’s Degree (1992–1995) from the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and a Doctorate (1995–1998) from the School of Electrical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University. His teaching focus includes Electromagnetic Fields and Waves, Advanced Engineering Electromagnetics, and Numerical Analysis of Engineering Electromagnetic Fields. His research interests include electromagnetic theory, numerical analyses and applications, Eddy current lossless detection, and high-power RF-driven negative ion sources.
