Prof. Pierantonio De Luca is an associate professor at the Department of Mechanical, Energy and Management Engineering, University of Calabria, Italy. He completed his master's degree in Chemistry at the University of Calabria (1991) and his doctoral studies in Chemical Technologies and New Materials at the University of Calabria (1996). He has published over 90 papers ininternational journals, holds five patents and has participated in over 170 national and international conferences. His research interests include the synthesis and characterization of microporous materials for environmental applications, carbon nanotubes and nanocomposite materials, materials with photocatalytic activity and materials of engineering interest from industrial waste.
