Dr. Bin Song received his B.E. from the Wuhan Institute of Technology in 1995. He received his M.E. in Thermal Energy and Power and Ph.D. in High Voltage and Insulation from the School of Electric Engineering, Wuhan University in 2000 and 2003, respectively. He is now an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering and Automation. His research interests include maintenance strategies, fault diagnosis, and information data processing for power equipment.
Dr. Linong Wang received his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1998, and his M.E. and Ph.D. in High Voltage and Insulation technology from Wuhan University in 2006 and 2011, respectively. From 1998 to 2006, he was an Engineer, and from 2007 to 2008, a Senior Engineer with Wuhan High Voltage Research Institute. From 2008 to 2009, he was the Head and Senior Engineer of the Electrical Equipment Quality Inspection Center of the State Grid Electric Power Research Institute. From 2009 to 2011, he was the General Manager and Senior Engineer of the Transmission Technology Division of Wuhan NARI Co., Ltd. From 2011 to 2012, he was the Deputy General Manager and Senior Engineer of Wuhan NARI Co., Ltd. He is now a Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation at Wuhan University. He is the Vice Chairman of the China Live-Line Work Standardization Technical Committee, a Member of the CSEE Power Transmission Committee, and a Member of the UHV AC Transmission Standardization Technical Working Committee. His current research interests include live-line work technology, inspection, and maintenance of electrical equipment, and electrical materials.
