Fidson Juarismy Vesga Pérez is a Biology from the Universidad Industrial de Santander (1999), an MSc in Microbiology from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (2004), and a PhD in Biotechnology from the Universitat Politècnica de València (2018), as well as a PhD in Biological Sciences from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (2019). She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology at the Faculty of Science, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Her work on water quality has resulted in eight publications in various journals and six conference presentations, including awards such as the National Gastroenterology Award of Colombia (2024). Her research interests include water quality, emerging pathogens, bioassays, and Helicobacter pylori.
