Dr. Al Mamun is associate professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Hafr Al-Batin, Saudi Arabia. He received Doctoral degree in Polymer Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan in 2006. Later he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at same institute (~1.5 years), Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Tsukuba, Japan (~2 years), University of Montreal, Montreal, Canada (~3 years), Florida State University of Florida, United States (2 years). He joined as a faculty at Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Oman in 2015. His research interests include the characterization of biopolymers for biomedical applications, polymer nanocomposites, polymer blends and sustainable water quality. He has published one book chapter, 53 papers in international journals (44 as first author), and 30 conference proceedings. His teaching disciplines include Engineering Physics and his interests include sustainable water.
