Nuha S Mashaan is a civil engineering lecturer at Edith Cowan University’s School of Engineering. She holds two PhD degrees. She received her first PhD in civil engineering (transportation engineering) from the University of Malay (UM). She also completed her Master’s degree in research in civil engineering from UM. She received her second PhD on nanomaterials and waste plastic in building materials from Curtin University, Australia. She has over 10 years of engineering management experience as a director. She worked as a lecturer and researcher in Malaysia and Australia. In 2019, she earned the title of associate fellow (AFHEA) of teaching and learning. She has been a guest editor for several special issues and a keynote speaker in several countries. Her areas of research include geotechnical engineering, transportation, and nanomaterials. Her research interests are in developing new materials and methods of using waste recycling materials in civil engineering building and construction.
