Teresa Peixoto holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the School of Management and Technology at Porto Polytechnic (2023) and is currently completing a Master's degree in Computer Engineering at the same institution. Since February 2024, she has been a researcher at CIICESI, School of Management and Technology at Porto Polytechnic, working on the PRODUTECH R3 project. Her research focuses on data quality assessment and analysis, especially in industrial and IoT environments. She is involved in data profiling techniques, data quality metrics, and dimensions, exploring their applicability in large-scale and real-time data processing scenarios.
My academic journey is rooted in Informatic Engineering and computer science, specializing in data management, transformation, and Business Intelligence systems. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Informatic Engineering (2009), a Master's in Informatic Engineering (2012) from Porto Polytechnic, and a PhD in Informatics (2018) from the University of Minho. Since 2010, I have taught at Porto Polytechnic, progressing from Invited Assistant Professor to Adjunct Professor (2022-present). I also served as an Invited Assistant Professor at the University of Minho (2014-2018) and taught master’s courses at ISCTE (2018-2021). My research began as a Collaborator at CIICESI (2010-2018), becoming an integrated member in 2018, and I contributed to ALGORITMI (2012-2018). My focus has been on data analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and data quality, as reflected in 38 scientific publications. I have participated in research projects like RAID B2K (2014-2015), SmartLex (2021-2023), and PRODUTECH R3 (2023-present). Additionally, I have held management roles, including member of the pedagogical council and Subdirector of the Informatics Department at Porto Polytechnic since 2019, and director of the "Curso Técnico Superior Profissional" in Informatics and Management (2018/2019).
