Author Biographies

Ruisong Ye received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computational Mathematics from Shanghai University of Science and Technology in 1990 and his Ph.D. degree in Computational Mathematics from Shanghai University in 1995. He is currently a professor and postgraduate tutor at the Department of Mathematics at Shantou University. He is also He is a vice chairman of the Guangdong Operations Research Society and a council member of the Guangdong Industrial and Applied Mathematics Society; and an associate editor of the International Journal of Image, Graphics and Signal Processing. He is mainly engaged in the research of bifurcation theory and its numerical calculation, fractal geometry and its applications, computer visualization of chaotic dynamical systems, and digital image processing. He has published more than 190 academic papers, including those in important domestic and international academic journals such as “J. Comput. Phys.”, “Computers & Graphics”, “J. Comput. Math.”, “Appl. Math. & Mech.”, “Chaos, Solitons & Fractals”, “Optics Communications”, and “Fundamenta Informaticae”, of which more than 50 papers have been included in SCI and EI. He has led and completed multiple research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation.
