Dr. Wuzhi Lei currently works as a Lecturer and Master Supervisor at the School of Resource & Environment and Safety Engineering, University of South China. He is also the Deputy Director of the Department of Mineral Processing Engineering. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mineral Resources Engineering (Mineral Processing) at the University of South China, a Master's degree in Mineral Processing Engineering at Northeastern University, and a Ph.D. in Mining Engineering at Wuhan University of Technology in 2012, 2014, and 2018, respectively. His research directions are non-metallic mineral material modification and uranium ore processing.
Prof. Yahui Zhang joined the Department of Process Engineering at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2016. Before that, he was a professor in mineral processing and hydrometallurgy at Northeastern University in China. He also worked as a senior metallurgist at the Beijing General Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (BGRIMM) for more than nine years. He earned his first PhD degree in mineral processing from Central South University, China, and a second PhD degree in materials engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada. With more than 20 years of research experience in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy, his research interests lie in the areas of mineral flotation, extractive metallurgy of rare earth elements (REE), precious and nonferrous metals, the designing and finding of new reagents/resins for flotation and metal extraction, novel processes for wastewater treatment, and preparation of nanomaterials and nanopowders.
