Prof. Dr. Surapon Saensouk is an Associate Professor and Lecturer at the Diversity of Family Zingiberaceae and Vascular Plant of Its Applications Research Unit, Walai Rukhavej Botanical Research Institute, Mahasarakham University, Kantarawichai District, Maha Sarakham, Thailand. He completed his Ph.D. studies in biology (plant taxonomy) at Khon Kaen University in 2006. His research interests include plant taxonomy, cytogenetics, botany, ethnobotany, plant pollen, plant chromosomes, and plant anatomy.
Dr. Thawatphong Boonma is a Researcher at Conservation and Botanical Research, Mahasarakham University. He completed his B.Sc. studies in technical education (mechanic) at King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok in 2011, his M.Sc. studies in Western music at Srinakharinwirot University in 2017, and his Ph.D. studies in biodiversity at Mahasarakham University in 2024. His research interests include taxonomic study, diversity, phytogeography, ecology, phenology, and ethnobotany of Zingiberaceae in Mainland Southeast Asia (based in Thailand).
