Ali Zakerian received his BSc and MSc degrees in Electrical Engineering from
Urmia University, Urmia, Iran, in 2013 and 2015,
and his PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Mississippi State University (MSU),
MS, USA, in 2023. Dr. Zakerian is currently a
senior engineer with the Bulk Transmission Planning
Services, Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia
(MEAG Power), Atlanta, GA, USA. His research
interests include modeling, stability analysis, and
control of distributed and renewable energy systems,
control of power electronic converters, and microgrids.
Masoud Karimi-Ghartemani received his
PhD degree in electrical engineering from the University
of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada, in 2004. Since
2012, he has been with the Department of Electrical
and Computer Engineering, Mississippi State University (MSU), Mississippi State, MS, USA, where
he is currently a professor. His research interests
include modeling and control of distributed and
renewable energy systems. Dr. Karimi is the recipient of the 2020 Faculty Research Award at MSU’s
Bagley College of Engineering. He is an Associate
Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions
on Sustainable Energy, and IEEE PES Letters.
