Author Biographies

Yusuf Uzun graduated from the Selçuk University Computer Engineering Department in 1999 and started working as a lecturer in the Selçuk University Seydişehir Vocational School Computer Programming Department. He worked as the Head of the Computer Programming Department between 1999 and 2008 and as the Deputy Director of the Vocational School between 2004-2008 and 2013-2017. He completed his master's degree at Selçuk University Computer Engineering Department in 2005. He completed his doctorate at Necmettin Erbakan University Mechanical Engineering Department in 2017 and started working as an Assistant Professor at Necmettin Erbakan University Seydişehir Ahmet Cengiz Engineering Faculty Computer Engineering Department Computer Software Department. He has been serving as the Head of the Computer Engineering Department and Vice Dean since 2017. During his tenure, he held many administrative positions such as Faculty Board Membership and Vocational School Board Membership. He served as Selçuk University Rector Advisor between 2020 and 2024. His areas of expertise are artificial intelligence, augmented reality, smart and autonomous systems, data science, and analysis. He has carried out many academic studies and projects in these areas. Dr. Lecturer Yusuf Uzun is married and has three children.
Serife Yurdagül Kumcu graduated from Selçuk University of Konya, Turkey, in 1992. She worked on labyrinth spillways and scour measurements around bridge abutments at the Middle East Technical University (METU) during her Master's and Ph.D. studies, respectively. After that, she worked for State Hydraulic Works as a research engineer in the Hydraulic Laboratory of the Technical Research and Quality Control Department. Later, she accomplished a comparative study with the University of Mississippi in the US on flood control and management, as well as sedimentation problems using the NCCHE computer model and physical scale models as a Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey Foundation Scholar. Currently, she works for Necmettin Erbakan University as a Professor, and she is the Dean of the NEÜ Seydişehir A.C. Engineering Faculty in Konya, Turkey. Her research fields cover hydraulics, fluid mechanics, hydrology, sediment transport, water resources and sustainability, physical model studies, and similarity.
