Courtney L. Horton, MD, is currently a third-year pediatric resident at the Children’s National Hospital, where she is dedicated to advancing her expertise in pediatric medicine. A passionate and committed physician, she graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2021 with an Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) designation. Before pursuing her medical degree, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Yale University in 2015, laying a strong foundation for her approach to healthcare through the lens of scientific innovation and problem-solving. Outside of her professional achievements, Courtney is also a proud and devoted mother of four children. Her personal journey as a mother has greatly informed her medical practice, especially as she cares for her five-year-old daughter, Gianna, who was diagnosed with FOXG1 syndrome. This experience has deepened her commitment to improving the lives of children with complex medical conditions and further fuels her advocacy for pediatric research and care. Courtney combines her academic and clinical expertise with a deep compassion for her patients and their families. She is dedicated to making a meaningful impact both in the hospital and in her community.
