Prof. Dr. Jie Wang, Doctoral Supervisor, Senior Visiting Scholar at Cornell University, acquiring governmental special allowance of the State Council. Concurrently, he is Director of the National Research and Development Subcenter of Fruit and Vegetable Processing, Director of the Hebei Agricultural Product Processing Innovation Center, President of the Food Society of Hebei Province, and Editorial board member of the Journal of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology. His major research fields include the processing of fruits and vegetables, as well as the development and utilization of marine food resources. In the field of fruit storage and processing, aiming at the problem of excessive methanol in jujube brandy, the production mechanisms of methanol and aroma components have been clarified, relying on the support of National Natural Science Foundation projects, providing theoretical and technical support for the development of the leading industry of jujube processing. To date, he has achieved 1 First prize and 3 Second prizes from the Hebei Science and Technology Progress Awards as the host. At present, he is pursuing three projects: the National Key Scientific Research and Development Plan, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Science and Technology Pillar Project of Hebei Province.
