Zohra Dakhia obtained her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Computer Systems from University of Biskra, Algeria, in 2021. Building on her foundation in computer science, she pursued a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, which she successfully completed at University of Biskra in 2023. Currently, Zohra is undertaking a Ph.D. program at University of Naples Federico II in Italy, where her research focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT). Zohra has a publication and a patent, both of them in the field of convergence between AI and the IoT.
Mariateresa Russo received her Master’s degrees in Agriculture from University Federico II of Naples. She obtained her Ph.D. in Food Biotechnology from University of Reggio Calabria/Bologna, Italy, in 1996. From 1998 to 2000, she was a Postdoctoral researcher at University of Salerno. From 2000 to 2012, she worked as a Researcher in CHIM/10 (Food Chemistry) at University of Reggio Calabria (UNIRC), DISTAFA Department. Since 2012, she has been an Associate Professor in CHIM/10 (Food Chemistry) at the UNIRC Department of Agriculture. Her research primarily focuses on food chemistry, authentication, safety, and sensoromics. She has been involved in the project management of various complex research projects, all aimed at developing and implementing innovative and sustainable models applied to the main Mediterranean supply chains in the "from farm to fork" perspective. She has served as the Principal Investigator/Scientific Responsible for several Operational Research Units (ORs) within each project.
Massimo Merenda received his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in electronic engineering from University “Mediterranea” of Reggio Calabria (UNIRC), Italy, in 2002, 2005, and 2009, respectively. From 2003 to 2005, he was a fellow at the Institute of Microelectronics and Microsystems of the National Research Council IMM-CNR, Naples, Italy. From 2011 to 2018, he was a PostDoc researcher at UNIRC. He was a Researcher at the DIIES Department of UNIRC, and CNIT, from 2018 to 2021. He was a Senior Scientist at the Cooperative Digital Technologies Competence Unit of the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT), in Vienna, from 2021 to 2022. He has been a Senior Researcher at UNIRC since October 2022. His research activity is mainly focused on the design of CMOS IC, silicon sensors, energy harvesting, RFID smart tag and applications, embedded systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), edge computing for applications of the Internet of Conscious Things, and more.
