Barbara Charmas is a professor at the Department of Chromatography, Institute of Chemical Sciences, Faculty of Chemistry, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University. She received her master’s and doctoral degrees from the Faculty of Chemistry, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in 1989 and 1999, respectively. She completed her habilitation dissertation at the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in 2016. She served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chromatographic Methods from 1999 to 2020 and became a Professor in 2020. Her research interests include synthesis, modification, and activation of materials; preparation of composite materials, nanomaterials and synthetic active carbons; pyrolysis and activation of materials; mechanochemistry;
