Ivana Milanović is a Junior Research Assistant
at the Research and Development Institute ''Life Activities Advancement
Institute'' in Belgrade, Serbia. She graduated in 2019 from the Faculty of
Special Education and Rehabilitation, University of Belgrade. She completed her Master's degree in 2020,
successfully defending her thesis titled ''Morphosyntactic Deficits in
Non-Fluent Aphasia.'' She began her PhD studies at the Faculty of Special
Education and Rehabilitation, University of Belgrade, in 2020. Since 2021, she
has been employed at the Institute for Experimental Phonetics and Speech
Pathology ''Đorđe Kostić'' as a speech and language therapist, and since 2023,
she has been working as a Junior Research Assistant at the Research and
Development Institute 'Life Activities Advancement Institute' in Belgrade,
Serbia. Her scientific and professional interests are focused on the early
diagnosis and treatment of children with specific language impairment, autism
spectrum disorder, and other developmental disorders. Her research areas
include language development, speech and language disorders, and cognitive
abilities, with a particular emphasis on their correlation and interaction with
language abilities.
Milena Paštar is a Junior Research Assistant
at the Research and Development Institute "Life Activities Advancement
Institute" in Belgrade, Serbia. She graduated in 2019 (Speech and Language
Pathology, Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation, University of
Belgrade). She got her Master's degree after successfully defending her thesis
titled ”Language skills in first-grade children” in 2020. She started her PhD
studies at the Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation, University of
Belgrade in 2022. She has been employed at the Institute for Experimental
Phonetics and Speech Pathology ”Đorđe Kostić’’ since 2021, as a speech and
language therapist, and since 2023, she has been employed as a Junior
Researcher Assistant at the Research and Development Institute “Life Activities
Advancement Institute” in Belgrade, Serbia. Her scientific and professional
interests are the early diagnostics and treatment of children with
autism spectrum disorder, specific language impairment, and other developmental
disorders. Her research focus is on neuroscience, the electrogenesis of
auditory perception, speech and language development, and speech and language
disorders (prevention and therapy).
Saška Žunić graduated in Speech and
Language Pathology at the Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation,
University of Belgrade, in 2011. She received her MS in 2012. In 2013, she
enrolled in Doctoral studies at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Biology,
Department of Neurosciences. Her Doctoral Dissertation Subject was approved by
the Social Sciences Council of Speech and Language, Verbal Communication,
Neuroscience, and Neurolinguistics at the University of Belgrade in 2018. In
2024, she completed her doctoral studies, earning the PhD title. On April
14th, 2018, she received her Research Assistant tenure. Since 2013, she has
been working at the Institute for Experimental Phonetics and Speech Pathology
in Belgrade as a Speech and Language Pathologist, and at the Research and
Development Institute “Life Advancement Activities Institute” as a Research
Assistant. Her research interests include neuroscience, the electrogenesis of
speech and language, neurolinguistics and psycholinguistics, speech and language
physiology, speech and language development, and speech and language disorders
(prevention and therapy).
Maša Marisavljević completed her studies
in psychology in 2015 and obtained her Master's degree in 2017. In 2025, she
completed her doctoral studies, earning the PhD title. Since 2017, she has been
employed at the Institute for Experimental Phonetics and Speech Pathology
'Đorđe Kostić' and, since 2019, at the Research and Development Institute 'Life
Activities Advancement Center' as a research associate. Additionally, since
2020, she has worked as a teaching assistant at the Department of Psychology,
Faculty of Media and Communications, Singidunum University. She passed the
professional exam for healthcare collaborators in 2017 and obtained the title
of systemic family counselor in 2018. She has presented papers at numerous
national and international conferences and is the author of several
publications in national and international journals. Occasionally, she is
invited as a guest lecturer at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of
Philosophy, University of Belgrade. She also helps organize seminars accredited
by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development of Serbia.
Her research interests include developmental and clinical psychology, marital
and family counseling, and the diagnosis and treatment of children with
developmental and school-age disorders.
Prof. Dr. Mile Vuković graduated from the
University of Belgrade. He is a full professor at the University of Belgrade –
Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation and head of the Department of
Speech and Language Pathology at the University of Belgarde. He teaches
students in Aphasiology, Neuropsychology, Communication disorders following
traumatic brain injury, Neurodegenerative speech and language disorders, Dyslexia,
and Dysgraphia. He has participated in several national and international
scientific projects. He was the Principal Investigator of the project entitled Evaluation
of Treatment of Speech and Language Disorders from 2011-2019 (No. 179068). His
areas of interest are neuropsychology, neurolinguistics, and aphasiology. He is
especially interested in the relationship between language and other cognitive
functions in brain-damaged individuals. His published works include about 400
papers in national and international journals, conference proceedings, and
chapters in textbooks and monographs. He is the author of the following books:
1. Traumatic aphasia; 2. Aphasiology (6 editions); 3. Treatment of
aphasia (4 editions);
4. Communication disorders following traumatic brain injury (2
editions); 5. Neurodegenerative speech and language disorders.
Miško Subotić was born in 1963,
in Belgrade, Serbia. He received his BS and PhD degrees from the School of Electrical
Engineering at the University of Belgrade in 1987 and 2013, respectively. He
focused his scientific interest on interdisciplinary research of speech
communication in the following fields: electroacoustics, speech production, and
perception, improvement of comprehensibility of speech communication, speech
and speaker recognition, and speech pathology. He was a leader and participant
in several projects supported by the Serbian Ministry of Science and Technology
Development. Since 2007 he has been the founder and director of the Research
& Development Institute “Life Activities Advancement Institute” (LAAI). He
obtained the research title Senior Research Associate in 2021. His H-index is
