Prof. Dr. Zhonglin Xu obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics, his Master’s degree in Cartography and Geographic Information Systems from the College of Resources and Environment, and his PhD degree from the Western Institute of Environment and Climate Change, all from Lanzhou University, in 2004, 2007, and 2011, respectively. He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Ecology, College of Ecology and Environment, Xinjiang University. He also serves as a Council Member of the Xinjiang Society of Natural Resources and Xinjiang Geographical Society. His research interests include global change ecology, biogeochemical cycles in terrestrial ecosystems, ecological restoration, and environmental modeling.
