Author Biographies

Prof. Diming Lou is currently a professor and doctoral tutor at Tongji University, director of the Automotive Engine Design Institute of the School of Automotive Engineering, and the vice chairman of the Sixth Council of the Shanghai Internal Combustion Engine Society. In 1986, he graduated from the Department of Energy, Zhejiang University with a bachelor's degree in engineering. In May 1989, he graduated from Shanghai Railway Institute with a master's degree in locomotives. From March 2002 to March 2007, he worked in vehicle engineering at Tongji University. He has a doctorate in engineering His research interests include modern design technology of automotive engines, alternative fuels for engines, and emission control technology.

Prof. Yunhua Zhang is a master's supervisor at the School of Automotive Engineering at Tongji University. He graduated from Tongji University in 2020 with a doctorate in engineering. He was selected for the Shanghai Science and Technology Talent Sailing Program and the China Society of Automotive Engineers Young Talent Support Project. He has presided over and participated in more than 10 national and provincial projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Key R&D Program. He has obtained more than 30 invention patents at home and abroad, participated in the compilation of two academic monographs, and won honors such as Tongji University Academic Pioneer and Tongji University Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation. As the main contributor, he has won a first and second place in the China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Progress Award and a second place in the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award. His main research directions include intelligent emission control technology for mobile sources, low-carbon/carbon-neutral fuel technology, etc.
