Dr. Shayma Alkobaisi is an associate professor at the College of Information Technology (CIT), United Arab Emirates University, UAE. She received her PhD in computer science from the University of Denver, Denver, CO, USA in 2008. Dr. Alkobaisi’s research interests mainly include health informatics, predictive analytics, uncertainty management in spatiotemporal databases, and geographic information systems.
Dr. Piotr Pałka is an assistant professor at the Institute of Control and Computation Engineering, Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland. He obtained his MSc and PhD in computer science from Warsaw University of Technology in 2005 and 2009, respectively. Dr. Pałka’s research interests center on market
mechanisms, multi-agent decision-making systems, and market power mitigation methods. His recent research topics include multi-agent systems, agent-based modeling, auction algorithms, mechanism theory, market design, and infrastructure markets.
