Melita Hajdinjak earned her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2006, followed by a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the same institution in 2012. She is currently an Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Ljubljana. Her research focuses on mathematical modeling, data analysis, and applied statistics, with a particular interest in developing advanced analytical and numerical methods for real-world applications. Throughout her academic career, she has actively contributed to interdisciplinary projects, collaborating with experts from various fields to enhance data-driven decision-making and problem-solving.
Igor Pušnik is a full professor at the Department of Measurement and Robotics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana. He has been a member of the Laboratory for Metrology and Quality (LMK) since 1995. Since 1997, when he completed his master's degree, he has been the quality manager of the temperature and humidity calibration laboratory, which, with its measurement calibration capabilities, is among the best laboratories in Europe and the world. He received his PhD in 2004 in the field of development and analysis of a system for evaluating metrological parameters and ensuring traceability of non-contact thermometers. In addition to his pedagogical work, in which he has been a mentor to more than eighty graduates, he is active in numerous domestic and international research and professional projects. His research work is particularly interested in energy efficiency and non-contact temperature measurements and research related to these areas. He is the author of numerous pedagogical, scientific and professional publications and an active member of several domestic and foreign professional associations.
Marina Štukelj received her PhD in 2013 on the elimination of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) by natural exposure, serumization and vaccination at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. She is currently a full professor of veterinary medicine at the Veterinary faculty, University of Ljubljana. She lectures in the subjects of Diseases and Health Care of Pigs and Practicum of Health Care of Pigs as well as Basic Clinical Diagnostics and Clinical Practise. In addition to teaching, she works as an expert consultant in the field of pig health care. The work includes targeted visits to pig farms, preparation of expert opinions and laboratory diagnostics. She is head of the serology laboratory where serological diagnostics of pig diseases are carried out. Her research interests are mainly focused on the epidemiology and eradication of viral diseases in pigs, laboratory diagnosis of swine diseases, control of emerging diseases in pigs and animal welfare. She has led a national project (V4-2039) and an international project (FREE-ROAM) and has been involved as a scientist in nine national and six international research projects. Her bibliography lists more than 234 units, including 41 original scientific articles and 4 review articles. She has mentored two PhD students.
