Mingfeng Wang is a Professor at the School of Geographical Sciences, East China Normal University, Shanghai, China. He earned, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering at the Department of Chemical Engineering, East China University of Science and Technology in 1998, a Master’s degree in Economics at the Institute of Urban and Regional Development, East China Normal University in 2002, and his Ph.D. in Science at the Institute of Geography of Western Europe and North America, East China Normal University in 2005. He was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Utah from 2012 to 2013. His research directions include global cities and urban networks, urban and rural digital transformation, retail geography, and urban village redevelopment.
