Author Biographies

Pierre Kamtsap is a biomedical analysis professional specializing in molecular biology, microbiology, and parasitology. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Biology at the University of Tübingen, Germany, focusing on research into vector control, entomology, and parasitology. His work has contributed to scientific advancements pertaining to blackflies, zoonotic Onchocerca species, and vector-borne diseases. He has led research initiatives, including testing Temephos and Bti for onchocerciasis vector control in northern Cameroon. As a research assistant at the University of Tübingen, he classifies biological specimens and conducts molecular studies on microorganisms. His clinical experience includes roles as a medical analysis technologist and technician in Cameroon, specializing in laboratory diagnostics and disease investigation. Beyond research, Pierre has contributed to public health initiatives, such as leading a hepatitis B and C screening campaign. He is fluent in English and French, with B2-level German proficiency. His publications focus on entomology, parasitology, and zoonotic diseases, reflecting his commitment to advancing disease control and public health strategies.
