Se-Yun Kim earned a BS in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) from Kyungpook National University in 2009, an MS in the same field in 2011, and a Ph.D. in 2015. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Advanced Materials Science and Engineering at Kyungnam University. His research focuses on materials design and analysis, and he has published 41 papers. His research interests include coatings, SiC fiber, thermal barrier coatings (TBC), and additive manufacturing.
