Prof. Dr. Minglai Yang is a professor, researcher, and doctoral supervisor at the College of Information and Technology, Jilin Agricultural University. He is a leading talent of the National Thousand Talents Program (selected in 2023) and a senior visiting scholar at the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has served as deputy director of the Science and Technology Bureau and Investment Promotion Bureau of Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, chairman of Zhejiang Changxin Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., and director of the research laboratory of Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests include laser agriculture, smart agriculture, and smart agricultural equipment. He is currently engaged in the research and development of laser technology and equipment, research on the mechanism of laser agriculture, research on laser smart agriculture systems, and the application and promotion of laser agricultural technology. He presided over a major agricultural collaborative promotion project in Jilin Province, and has presided over more than 20 projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Information Industry, the Ministry of Railways, and Shanghai. He won the second prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked third).
