Author Biographies

Huiting Yan is a PhD student at the college of Soil and Water Conservation Science and Engineering, Northwest A&F University. She completed her Master's studies in Cartography and Geographic Information Systems at Northwest A&F University. She has a background in government remote sensing projects and policy research, and has participated in numerous government decision-making studies. Her research interests focus on the application of remote sensing technology in land use and the exploration of the changes and causes of non-agricultural and non-grain cultivation of farmland in Shaanxi Province.
Dr. Hao Chen is an assistant professor at College of Soil and Water Conservation Science and Engineering, Northwest A&F University. Dr. Hao Chen is a dedicated environmental scientist specializing in landscape ecology, sustainability, and eco-urbanization. He holds a PhD in Environmental Science from Wageningen University. Dr. Hao Chen's research findings have been published in leading international journals, with over 20 articles as the first and corresponding author in journals such as Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Hydrology, Landscape Ecology, and Remote Sensing.
Dr. Fei Wang is a professor at College of Soil and Water Conservation Science and Engineering, Northwest A&F University. His research focuses on soil and water conservation, watershed management, and climate change adaptation. Over the past five years, he has led more than ten research projects and published over 210 papers in leading journals, authored one translated book, and serves as an expert reviewer for several international projects and reports, including the EU Horizon 2020 program and the United Nations Global Environment Outlook (GEO-6).
Dr. Linjing Qiu is an associate professor at the Department of Earth and Environmental Science, Xi’an Jiaotong University. He completed his PhD studies in Ecology at the Northwest A&F University. He recently led two research projects on environmental effects of human activities, which were funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published 30 papers in various journals. His teaching disciplines include ecology and environmental remediation technology. His research interests focus on land use and cover change analysis using remote sensing technology and the interaction between land and atmosphere.
