Cameron Schweitzer serves as the Director of Gateway Seminary’s San Francisco Campus and an Associate Professor of Historical Theology. He completed his Bachelor’s work in Christian Studies and Philosophy at the California Baptist University in 2013. After that, he began his studies as an MDiv student at the Brea Campus of Golden Gate Seminary, finishing as a Gateway graduate in 2017. He started a PhD the same year, completing his doctoral work in 2022. His dissertation focused on the biblical exegesis of the American pastor–theologian Jonathan Edwards. Dr. Schweitzer began his service as an employee at Golden Gate Seminary in 2015 and served in the Office of Enrollment for eight years. In March of 2023, he was then promoted to serve in his current role at Gateway Seminary. Dr. Schweitzer also serves as an Adjunct Professor in California Baptist University’s online Christian Studies program. His academic interests include systematic theology, biblical theology, historical theology, philosophy, apologetics, and ethics.
