Prof. Dr. James Alan
Bourgeois is a Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry
and Behavioral Sciences, University of California, Davis with experience in
senior positions at academic medical centers. He received a Doctor of Medicine
(MD) from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, F. Edward
Hebert SOM and a residency in Psychiatry from Wright State University. To date,
he has published 164 articles, 50 letters to the editor, 13 books-authored, 15
books-edited, and 149 book chapters/other publications. In addition, he is a
Fellow and 2021 Hackett Awardee of the Academy of Consultation-Liaison
Psychiatry and a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric
Association.
