Dr. Marie-Pierre Aubry is a Distinguished Professor at the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, School of Art and Sciences, Rutgers University. She obtained her D.Sc. from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie in 1983. In 2001, she joined Rutgers University as a Research Professor. She also served as the International leader of the Chair of UNESCO/IUGS IGCP Project 308 on the Paleocene/Eocene boundary stratotype. She is the author of the 9-volume Handbook of Cenozoic Calcareous Nannofossils. She is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the American Society for the Advancement of Sciences (AAAS), the American Geophysical Union (AGU), the American Paleontological Society, and the Geological Society of America (GSA). Her research interests include stratigraphy, chronology, coccolithophores, and the modalities of plankton evolution.
