Ph.D. Izabela Płonka works in the Department of Water and Wastewater Engineering, Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering, Silesian University of Technology. She completed her PhD studies in environmental engineering at the Silesian University of Technology. She has published over 70 research papers in various journals. She is an expert of the Polish Chamber of Ecology. Her teaching disciplines include wastewater treatment, sewage sludge treatment facilities, and processes of water recovery from sewage. Her scientific interests include methods treatment of wastewater, and industrial wastewater, methods treatment of sludge, wastewater, industrial wastewater, post-coagulation sludge, and sewage sludge.

Dr hab. inż. Edyta Kudlek is an associated professor at the Department of Water and Wastewater Engineering, Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering, Silesian University of Technology. She completed her PhD studies in environmental engineering at the Silesian University of Technology. She recently led Project LIDER13/0126/2022 financed by the NATIONAL CENTRE FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT. She has published over 90 research papers in various journals, and serves as a member of the board of the Polish Association of Sanitary Engineers and Technicians (PZITS) branch in Katowice. Her teaching disciplines include chemistry, physical chemistry, membrane processes, hydrology, economics, and project management. Her scientific interests include organic micropollutants, microplastics, advanced oxidation processes, rainwater, surface water, sewage, membrane processes, and chromatographic and toxicological analyses.

Ph.D. Barbara Pieczykolan works in the Department of Water and Wastewater Engineering, Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering, Silesian University of Technology. She completed her PhD studies in environmental engineering at the Silesian University of Technology. She has published over 70 research papers in various journals. Her teaching disciplines include wastewater treatment, sewage sludge treatment facilities, and processes of water recovery from sewage. Her scientific interests include municipal wastewater and industrial wastewater treatment methods, treatment methods of sewage sludge and post-coagulation sludge, adsorption processes, and advanced oxidation processes.
