Weidong Liu received his PhD in General Surgery (Colorectal Cancer Surgery) from Central South University in 2000. He works as a doctor at Xiangya Hospital (2001–now), and he was also the director of Essential Surgery Department and Day Surgery Department. His research topics mainly include colorectal cancer management and surgical techniques, and day surgery management. Recently, he wrote a book with the title "Management of Day Surgery", which is a guideline for all Chinese doctors.
