Dmytro Ivanov is a Professor of Medicine and Chief of the nephrology department at Bogomolet’s National Medical University (Kyiv, Ukraine) and an Honorary Doctor of Ukraine. He is a specialist in both Nephrology and Pediatric Nephrology. He received his MD from Bogomolet’s National Medical University in 1987 and completed his residency (a postgraduate course) at the National Medical University from 1987 to 1989. He served as a Junior Researcher in the Department of Pediatric Nephrology of the Institute of Urology and Nephrology Ukrainian Academy of Medical Sciences (1989–1991), then as a Senior Researcher (1991–1995), and became a Professor of Nephrology in 2001. Furthermore, he served as the Chief of the Nephrology and Renal Replacement Therapy Department of Shupyk National University of Public Health of Ukraine up until 2023. His research interests include hypertension, diabetic kidney disease, ischemic chronic kidney disease, pediatric nephrology, lupus nephritis, and renal replacement therapy. He has been an ISN Fellow since 2022 and is an expert UEMS in nephrology and pediatric nephrology.
