Yves Gourinat is a Professor of Structural Physics in the Department of Structural Mechanics and Materials (DMSM) at ISAE-SUPAERO. He is the Deputy Director of the Clément Ader Institute. He had been an engineer on aircraft composite structures at Aerospatiale-Aircraft (now Airbus SAS) for 7 years, then an Associate Professor at ENSICA in the field of aerospace dynamics and human spaceflight (with Soyuz-Mir training) for 10 years. In 2003, he founded the team of nonlinear dynamics and biodynamics at SUPAERO, University of Toulouse. He was a Full Professor at the Director of the Aeronautical-Astronautical Doctoral School from 2012 to 2016. His research interests include cryogenic tanks, living cells, and hull thermodynamics.
