Author Biographies

Yanyu Li, a PhD candidate in design at the Macau University of Science and Technology, has a multidisciplinary background in literature, engineering, and art. She has been involved in various fields such as literature, design, and cultural heritage preservation. She has presided over or participated in a number of national, provincial, and municipal projects and has published papers as the first and co-first author in journals such as Heritage Science, Frontiers in Microbiology, and Applied Artificial Intelligence. She holds more than 10 national invention patents, utility model patents, and appearance patents and computer software copyrights. She has also received several design awards at home and abroad. Her main research interests are cultural heritage preservation, folk culture research, and interaction design research. She hopes to revitalize cultural heritage and bring them to new life through multidisciplinary and comprehensive research.
Mingyi Zhao is a doctoral student in Cultural Heritage Conservation of the Design Program at the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST). She graduated from the College of Arts at Qingdao University with a master's degree in Design Art. She has a multidisciplinary background in literature, fine arts, and design. She has been involved in various fields such as arts and crafts, design, history, and cultural heritage protection and has also participated in a number of provincial and municipal projects, holds computer software copyrights, and has won many design awards at home and abroad. She has published several papers as the first author or co-author in journals such as Heritage Science and Frontiers in Microbiology. She serves as a board member or advisor to various historical, archival, and art associations in China. Her main research interests focus on cultural heritage preservation, humanities, history and culture, arts and crafts, and interactive design. She hopes to enable cultural heritage preservation through a multidisciplinary and comprehensive research path.
Jinyan Jiang is a Ph.D. student in Applied Life Chemistry at the University of Tokyo. Her research focuses on developing microbial-based natural drugs by employing multidisciplinary approaches, including synthetic biology, organic chemistry, microbiology, and structural biology. She investigates the pathogenic mechanisms and drug targets of Gram-negative bacteria, aiming to screen and identify potential antimicrobial agents. This involves analyzing gene regulation, studying pathogenicity, and conducting structural analyses of target proteins. She has published several research papers in Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Protein Science, Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, and other prominent journals.
Yile Chen holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, Macau University of Science and Technology, having graduated in 2024. She completed a master’s degree in Urban Planning and Design at the Faculty of Innovation and Design, City University of Macau, in 2020. She has published over 40 papers in prestigious SCIE, SSCI, and A&HCI journals, including the International Journal of Architectural Heritage, Heritage Science, Open House International, Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering, Island Studies Journal, Buildings, Applied Artificial Intelligence, Geocarto International, Frontiers in Earth Science, Atmosphere, and Sustainability. Her primary research interests include artificial intelligence technology, the scientific analysis of healthy human settlements, and the application of spatial information technology in cultural heritage protection. She focuses on cutting-edge research in architectural technology for high-density urban forms and healthy environments and the preservation and renewal of urban and architectural cultural heritage in Macau and Portuguese-speaking regions. She is also a member of the PLOS ONE Editorial Board and serves as a peer reviewer for numerous SCIE, SSCI, A&HCI, and ESCI journals, including internationally renowned publications such as the International Review for Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development, Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering, and Frontiers of Architectural Research.
Haojie Chen is a postdoctoral researcher at the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center (SYSUCC), having graduated in 2023 from the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health (SINH) under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) with a Ph.D. in computational biology. His primary research interests focus on integrated multi-omic analyses of cancer progression mechanisms. He has published articles in esteemed journals such as Genome Biology, Journal of Pathology: Clinical Research, EMBO Molecular Medicine (accepted), and Genome Research.
Dr. Liang Zheng has a Ph.D. in Architecture from the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, Macau University of Science and Technology, having graduated in 2024. His research interests include sustainable architectural design. He has published more than 10 papers in SCIE, SSCI, and A&HCI journals in the International Journal of Architectural Heritage, Heritage Science, Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering, Buildings, Frontiers in Earth Science, Atmosphere, and Sustainability.
Huanhuan Chen is a PhD candidate in design at the Macau University of Science and Technology, with primary research interests in environmental design, social innovation, and design education. She has extensive practical experience in design, having served as the lead designer in multiple key projects. Academically, Huanhuan has participated in two national research projects and three provincial-level projects. She has also published over five papers in various academic journals and has participated in significant academic conferences both domestically and internationally.
Yue Wu is the CEO of Shanghai Biogenuinetech Co., Ltd. He graduated from Dalian Medical University and has published five SCI papers, which have been cited 134 times. His research primarily focuses on utilizing multi-omics at the single-cell level to investigate the mechanisms behind the occurrence and development of biological systems and clinical diseases. By integrating genomics, epigenetics, metabolic reprogramming, and proteomics with various methodologies such as virtual screening, molecular docking, molecular dynamics, and validation in model organisms, he aims to empower the development of targeted therapeutics for diseases.
