Author Biographies

Dr. Pradeepraj Durairaj is an accomplished researcher in molecular enzymology and biotechnology, renowned for his groundbreaking contributions to cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes, drug metabolism, and biocatalysis. He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Yeungnam University, South Korea, through the prestigious Korean Government Scholarship Program. His research encompasses molecular biology, microbial biotechnology, genetic engineering, and high-throughput functional screening of CYP enzymes and membrane proteins. His notable contributions include constructing a PAN Human CYPome gene library in fission yeast and developing the robust biotransformation strategy, "Enzyme-Bags" for drug-metabolizing enzymes, which has led to the identification of novel P450 enzymes. His work has earned him multiple prestigious awards, including the Young Researcher Award, Outstanding Foreign Postdoctoral Award, and Foreign Young Talent Award. Dr. Durairaj has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in high-impact international journals, garnering substantial citations. With diverse international research experience in the USA, China, South Korea, and India, he has held key positions at esteemed institutions. His long-term goal is to establish a dedicated research group that advances enzyme research and develops innovative approaches to understanding complex enzymatic systems and their applications in medicine and biotechnology.
