Odysseas Ziogas is a Dipl. Mechanical Engineer and a researcher at the LFMT. He specializes on the aerodynamic design and performance assessment for both conventional and BWB UAV configurations, presizing tools development, aiworthiness, and CFD modelling. He also focuses on novel concept design for future commercial airliner platforms. He has participated in national and European projects. He also has experience in integration and testing of UAV prototypes (GTOW ranging between 10 and 700 kg) and has published two conference papers.
Spyridon Antoniou is a Dipl. Mechanical Engineer, researcher, and PhD candidate at the LFMT. He has participated in several National and European research projects, in collaboration with the aeronautical industry, including one EDIDP project. His expertise includes aerodynamic design, presizing tools development, stability and control of conventional and BWB layout UAV configurations, as well as flow control techniques. He also has experience in the integration and testing of a variety of fixed-wing (conventional and BWB) prototype and scaled-down UAV models with a GTOW between 10 and 700 kg. He has contributed to the publication of two journal articles and one conference paper in the field of aeronautics, focusing on BWB design, and active and passive flow control techniques.
Pericles Panagiotou is a Dr. Mechanical Engineer and an Assistant Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). He is a member of LFMT and the coordinator of the LFMT aircraft and fixed-wing UAV design team (UAV-iRC). He coordinated (PI) two research projects related to the investigation of novel technology synergies on Blended-Wing-Body UAV platforms and the development of AI-aided wing design framework. He has also participated in several national and European projects, in collaboration with European and International industry and research institutes. His specializes in novel layout configurations (BWBs), layout design and synthesis, shape optimization, presizing tools development, CFD, windtunnel testing, airworthiness, and flight testing of fixed-wing UAV prototypes (GTOW ranging between 10 and 700 kg). He has published 18 journals and 23 conference papers (Scopus h-index: 12) and holds EU top secret clearance.
