Dr. Guopei Huang is an engineer at the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Geochemistry, Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He obtained his PhD in Environmental Engineering from the Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, from 2009 to 2014. He has led and participated in numerous research projects, including providing third-party services for the overall implementation plan of the 2022 Dejiang County Farmland Productivity Restoration and Utilization Project, conducting integrated research and demonstration of phytoremediation technologies for typical heavy metal-contaminated soils in Guizhou Province, and developing demonstration bases for agricultural regulation and auxiliary technologies. His work also includes the safe utilization and remediation of mercury-contaminated farmland soils. His research focuses on the biogeochemical processes of heavy metals in karst regions, the safe utilization and remediation of contaminated farmland, and the morphological analysis of heavy metals such as selenium, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic.
