Claudio Urrea was born in Santiago, Chile. He received his M.Sc.Eng. and Dr. degrees from the University of Santiago of Chile in 1999 and 2003, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble, France, in 2003. Dr. Urrea has been a Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Santiago of Chile since 1998. He has developed and implemented a robotics laboratory, where intelligent robotic systems are developed and investigated. Currently, he is a full Professor and holds the position of Director of the Instrumentation Center and Electronic Development at the University of Santiago of Chile.
