Xing Wang joined the Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), in 2012 and is currently a Research Fellow there. He graduated from Northwestern Polytechnical University with a bachelor’s degree in 2007 and completed his Ph.D. at the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, CAS, in 2012. He served as a Visiting Scholar at the Argonne National Laboratory, USA, from 2013 to 2014 and a Postdoc Researcher at the Deutsches Elektronen Synchrotron (DESY) from 2015 to 2017. He was awarded the title of Youth Rising Star in Science and Technology in Shaanxi Province in 2021. His main research areas include photoelectric emission materials; photodetector devices; and photoelectric imaging systems.
