Author Biographies

Elias Eid is a Research Engineer in the Heating and Cooling Research Group at London South Bank University. He has extensive experience in building energy simulations and the application of innovative carbon-saving technologies. His research focuses on decarbonising the European food sector, where he has contributed to multiple projects aimed at reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions across various stages of the food supply chain. He has published peer-reviewed papers and conference papers in the areas of energy efficiency, modelling, refrigeration, and sustainable technologies. He has also been involved in collaborative research projects with industry partners and academic institutions across Europe. He is an invited researcher at the French institute INRAE in Paris, collaborating on modelling work and supervising interns and contributing to cutting-edge research in energy-saving strategies for the food sector. Beyond his research, he actively participates in conferences as well as workshops and professional organizations such as IIR as a commission member, where he collaborates with other experts in the field.
