Fábio Oliveira Santos is an architect and researcher at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP), where he holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and is currently pursuing a Doctoral Program focused on technology and data management in architectural design. Since 2019, he has been an Invited Assistant Teacher in the Construction 2 course at FAUP, integrating digital methodologies into architectural education. His research explores the role of data in architecture, particularly in the integration of digital tools, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and collaborative methodologies in project management. Professionally, he has extensive experience in project coordination and BIM implementation across various scales and typologies, having led and collaborated on multidisciplinary projects in Europe and Africa. His expertise lies in optimizing workflows through centralized information management systems, enhancing efficiency in both design and construction phases. He is actively engaged in teaching, research, and professional practice, bridging innovation and technology in architectural processes.

Therefore, he Researches, Teaches, Innovates, Creates, Designs, Builds, Writes, Publishes, Participates, and Assists... He acts so that the community and humanity may grow towards an ideal of freedom, striving for a more balanced, fair, sustainable world that is mindful of the environment that supports us.He is also a Full Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto, where he has been teaching since 1989, and a Researcher at the Innovation Center for Architecture and Modes of Inhabiting, which he coordinates. His extensive work has been published across various countries, platforms, media, and specialist publications.
