Prof. Dr. Piaoping Yang is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering, Harbin Engineering University. He is also the Director of the Key Laboratory of Ultralight Materials and Surface Technology, Ministry of Education, Harbin Engineering University, and an expert enjoying special government allowances from the State Council. He received his master's degree from Nankai University and his PhD degree from Jilin University and was a postdoctoral fellow at Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research interests include the design and synthesis of rare earth luminescent functional materials and their applications in biomedicine, the application of inorganic/organic hybrid functional materials in bioimaging and tumor therapy, and the application of transition-metal-based multifunctional composite materials in catalysis and energy.
